So it is a wrap for my month of creative work with Royal Albert Australia. I hope you have enjoyed a look at some of these gorgeous products. It is wonderful how the products can slot into different aspects of life – whether it be for drink tea, displaying flowers on the table, holding supplies on your desk and of course celebrating with cupcakes! They are perfect for a beautiful tea party or your afternoon cup of tea with a magazine!
All the products seen on can be purchased by visiting the Royal Albert store here. Here is a look back at how I used my favourites from the range.
It really has been a busy start to the year with a number of new and exciting opportunities for me and Sweet Style, all of which include working with some wonderful and creative people.
One of those opportunities is the position I have taken up with Sweet Magazine as their Style Editor. Lisa Brown is the editor of this new magazine that hit news stands earlier this year. I came on board mid issue 2 and there are two articles in this edition that I have written – the first being the interview I did with party girls Kara Allen, Sarah Osmotherly and Claire Casey during the Confetti Fair and Kara’s Party Idea’s Workshop Tour earlier this year. Such crazy and fun girls with a wonderful attitude and enthusiasm for this exciting industry we are all part of.
The second article is on the dessert table I created for Sofia’s 7th Birthday last year which includes a fantastic tutorial by Noo from Dessert Menu Please, on those ever so cute cookies that she created for me.
You can find your copy of Sweet Magazine in leading newsagencies around Australia. It is also available for purchase for your iPad by visiting the Sweet Magazine website here.
Have you seen the latest creation from Loni Parker – the lovely lady behind Adore Magazine? Loni has been hard at work for the past year producing her first hard cover book. Here are a few photos I shared this week via instagram – I even have a little feature on page 184 where I give my Dessert Table hints and tips.
Last Friday I had the pleasure of attending Kara’s Party Idea’s Workshop and Confetti Fair while they were on the Sydney leg of their Australian Tour. I was there representing Sweet Magazine as the new Style Editor and my main gig for the day was to do an interview with Kara, Sarah and Claire which will be revealed in edition two of the magazine.
I also had a great day photographing all that was happening including Kara & Sarah presenting and the wonderful stalls that were on display for Confetti Fair. Here are a selection from the day which include my favourite vendors. I look forward to sharing more about some great new products I discovered over the coming weeks.
The Feather installation at the entry to the Byron Kennedy Hall was amazing! Many hours of colouring and hanging feathers but it was well worth the amazing look that Claire and her Confetti Fairies achieved.Kara & Sarah (Sugar Coated Mama)One of Kara’s gorgeous displayDalia and her team at Tiny Tots Toy Hire always have so many wonderful props and their display showed how to create the perfect Alison in Wonderland party.
