Earlier this year I photographed a styled shoot for the latest edition of Confetti Fair Magazine.   Lots of beautifully created desserts on a very stylish table, all photographed in a fabulous warehouse setting!  Here are some of my favourite images from the shoot.

You can find issue 6 of Confetti Fair Magazine in all good newsagents!

I have just spent the most glorious 3 days in the blue mountains of NSW at the most recent Local is Lovely Pracshop.  Spending a few days each year totally immersed in food and photography is like a fire to my soul.  Not only did I get to hang out and learn from my absolute food and lifestyle photography role model Luisa Brimble, I also had the pleasure of meeting and more learning from styling and blogging superstar Aran Goyoaga of Canelle et Vanille and absorbing and being around the warm and most gracious host Sophie Hanson – 3 perfect days that will remain with me as an absolute highlights for 2015.

I took well over 1500 photos in the 3 days which I will share with you in the coming weeks and months – I have long wanted to just post a photo a day that shows what I see when I push that little black button.  This year has seen a number of photo shoots that I am still to share as long blog posts are something I no longer have time for so I will now take the opportunity to post regular images that are favourites from the past few months.

Today enjoy images from our dinner on day one at Kimbri Farm in Rydal – a magical part of the world.

A few behind the scenes photos today from my place after I gave my favourite display shelving units a styling update last week.

I purchased these gorgeous shelving units 2 years ago so I could display my beautiful cake stand collection – with so many lovely cake stands in my shop I found that I was constantly pulling out various sizes and colours to show customers who popped into my home to make a purchase.

The collection of course has grown over time and the shelves were starting to look a little messy and cluttered!  Showing every colour in every size while trying to remain stylish wasn’t working and every time I pulled out another little prop to use I would dump it back on the shelves!

It was time for a clean up and a refresh – time to style everything up and combine ranges, colours and various other items I love like books and candles.

Here are the before and after results!  I am feeling so much calmer every time I walk past now – nothing like a good clean out for the soul!

We are in birthday mode here in our house with Indi turning 5 this week!  I am currently working out what favour bags to  make up for her upcoming party and thought I would look back at what I have done in the past!

There are some cute but very simple ones in there so I thought I show you what I have done in the past that tied in with the various party themes we have done.

Calico Bags and Favour Pails always look very smart – the first was for Indi’s Sprinkles and Confetti Party last year and the second one is from Sienna’s Flamingo themed Pool Party

Themed cookies in pretty bags are simple and the great Paper Eskimo Treat Bag is one of my favourites.  Beautifully wrapped chocolate bars are also still a big hit!

A skinny jar filled with delicious colour themed lollies was the pick for Sienna’s movie party and this bag of popcorn with a thank wrap around it was something made up for a client to give to her guests.

This last idea below was from a party I photographed for my friend Dewi from Sweet Bloom Cakes.  She made up a great pack of treats to give to her guests which included chocolate bars, a cake in a jar plus chocolate – all served in a cute berry box and wrapped with twine!

Lots of fun inspiration there from parties of the past! Off to work out what we can do next.

So it is a wrap for my month of creative work with Royal Albert Australia.  I hope you have enjoyed a look at some of these gorgeous products.  It is wonderful how the products can slot into different aspects of life – whether it be for drink tea, displaying flowers on the table, holding supplies on your desk and of course celebrating with cupcakes!  They are perfect for a beautiful tea party or your afternoon cup of tea with a magazine!

All the products seen on can be purchased by visiting the Royal Albert store here.  Here is a look back at how I used my favourites from the range.
