Dinner with Local is Lovely

I have just spent the most glorious 3 days in the blue mountains of NSW at the most recent Local is Lovely Pracshop.  Spending a few days each year totally immersed in food and photography is like a fire to my soul.  Not only did I get to hang out and learn from my absolute food and lifestyle photography role model Luisa Brimble, I also had the pleasure of meeting and more learning from styling and blogging superstar Aran Goyoaga of Canelle et Vanille and absorbing and being around the warm and most gracious host Sophie Hanson – 3 perfect days that will remain with me as an absolute highlights for 2015.

I took well over 1500 photos in the 3 days which I will share with you in the coming weeks and months – I have long wanted to just post a photo a day that shows what I see when I push that little black button.  This year has seen a number of photo shoots that I am still to share as long blog posts are something I no longer have time for so I will now take the opportunity to post regular images that are favourites from the past few months.

Slow Living Workshop

To say my weekend was amazing is an understatement.  I am still flying high after spending the most glorious weekend surrounded by talented ladies from all parts of the globe.  Ladies who love to be immersed in things they are passionate about.  Ladies who love to share and inspire.   I get so much out of just being around creative souls – soaking up their enthusiasm – an enthusiasm I have, but at times is dampened by the fact that I work alone at home and when I am not working I am surrounded by little people who are quite demanding!  The slow living workshop I attended last weekend was just what I needed to give me the motivation to take exciting steps!  I am full of ideas (probably too many) so now need to bring them to life!  The possibilities are endless really.  Thank you to the amazing Luisa Brimble, Beth Kirby from Local Milk & Rebekka Seale from Camellia Fibre Company for what was a truly wonderful weekend.

The Floury Baker – Anna provided us with the most amazing tarts – not only were they a joy to photograph but Anna tarts are THE BEST I have ever tasted!
Arthur Street Kitchen – Hetty’s salads were incredible and I am in need of her recently released cook book!
Stacey Clark Stylist – Stacey was on hand to be a right hand to the girls and be our sometimes model – she also made us laugh lots! 
Sney Roy from Cook Republic – Sneh’s beautiful props were on hand for us to play with! Very envious of her collection.
Our lovely take home gifts were from The Assembly, The Jam Bandits & Maison Balzac

Style + Shoot Workshops

So you have all the bits and pieces to make a really good party but have no idea how to put it together to create the wow factor?

I have great news for you – it is workshop time and the Style + Shoot workshop is for you.

I have teamed up with Claire from Confetti Fair as one of the presenters at this great four hour learning experience.
Nicolle from Ra Ra Kitty is kicking off the day creating the perfect set up for your party.  Once the setup is complete you will of course need to know how to photograph it so your work can be seen in magazines and on blogs.

I will be taking you through a lesson on how to get the best shot on your camera and phone, and then showing you how to make it them magazine worthy images.

Lunch is also included and a fantastic goodie bag!
