It has become an Easter tradition on the blog to show the gorgeous party that The Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, London hosts each year.
My lovely reader Caroline always does an amazing job with this party and the 2015 Easter Party is no exception. Once again so many sweet details and I love the look of that Grown Ups Bar.
Here are all the gorgeous pictures – you can see the lovely party they hosted last year here.
If you visited the blog last week you will have seen Indi’s 5th Birthday Celebration. As with my signature style I kept everything simple with a few pops of colour and the backdrop I created for this party was no different.
All you need is some of your favourite coloured wash tape and a pair of scissors. The idea for this really came as I was decorating the bottles the day before the party.
I wanted to add a little colour to the mini bottles and washi tape is always my favourite thing to use. After finishing the little crosses on the bottles I thought it would add a little pop to the background by doing something similar. I kept the colour the same and ended up with a simple washi tape backdrop for my table.
I also used the washi tape to stick on the favour bag tags – I stamped Indi’s name on to the tag and stuck them on glassine bags.
As well as a great way to hold your spoon on the mini pot and decorate the straw holder.

I thought it was about time I posted a few photos from Indi’s 5th Birthday celebration that was back in June.
We seemed to have a bit of a continuing theme with Sprinkles for this birthday – something we started last year when she turned 4 (you can see that party here).
The main inspiration for the party started with a cake I spotted on Pinterest – I asked Liv from Jack + Hunter to create her version of the cake and the other desserts I created from there. As well as the cake we had giant marshmallows dipped in sprinkles, mini pots of yogurt with sprinkles.
Just a few simple details, lots of white with pops of colour and my perfect party was created! Enjoy!
I have the sweetest birthday party to share with you today, courtesy of the very talented Nicole from Penny Lane Studio. You know I love all things simple with a few perfect details and this party is just that!
Nicole decided to celebrate her daughter Lily’s 2nd Birthday with a Cute as a Button 50’s Kitchen Tea Themed Party featuring a pretty soft pastel colour pallet.
Here is what Nicole told me about the party and her inspiration:-
“The styling for Lily’s Party was reminiscent of my childhood raised with 50’s obsessed parents, with genuine ‘Gay ware’ canisters, popcorn and marshmallow sundaes and delicious strawberry milkshakes.
Karyn from Karyn’s gifted creations designed the cutest button cookies and cookie pops, and Gillian from Crumbs of Comfort jumped on board with a simple messy triple layer cake which was dressed with a button and a bow. Grace from Willow and Co’s stunning photography was perfect for the vintage vibe of this sweet little table.”
