Simple & Delicious

Photographing food is the ultimate for me.  Photographing food with one of the industries most sought after food photographers also happens to be pretty special!  Earlier this year I spent the day with Katie Quinn-Davies at her one day food photography and styling workshop!  I had been fortunate to work with Katie previously on a shoot for Delicious Magazine (see it here) but this time I was able to get behind the camera myself!  Here is just one of the simple and delicious dishes we prepped and shot on the day!

Beach Dreaming

After a few days of rain this week the sunshine is back today!  The warmer weather is not far away – you can feel the change in the air!  Won’t be long and the beaches will be packed again.  Does anyone else here follow along with Uge from Aquabumps!  I so look forward to his daily emails and seeing daily life on Bondi Beach and surrounds.  Here are another few shots from my recent trip to his neck of the woods – must do it more often (if only it wasn’t for the parking the traffic!)!

Mr A and I took a weekend trip to Melbourne last week to attend The Wellness Summit – two days of listening to amazing and inspiring speakers talk about everything from nutrition to exercise to mindfulness – so awesome – check it out if you are that way inclined or visit The Wellness Couch to find all of their amazing podcasts.  Here are some early morning shots I took on Sunday as we took a walk around the city – nothing better than first light in a city still asleep!

I was shooting for my lovely friend Cindy last week.   You must see her divine range of 100% natural, toxin free makeup that is made from food!  The lip nourish lipstick is so good that I now wear it every day!  Here are just a few of the many shots from the day – look at the lovely fabric wraps the lippies come in.  Go check her out Luk Beautifood!  You won’t be sorry.

New Photography Workshops at DTLL Workshops

I am pleased to announce that in conjunction with the lovely girls at DTLL Workshops I am running my popular DLSR Photography workshops again.

We have two dates to offer 26th September (in the afternoon) and 28th November (in the morning).  

Come along and learn how to use your DSLR camera, take some magazine worthy images, learn how to edit your images and enjoy a delicious morning/afternoon tea.  I will have some great take home notes for you and we will do plenty of hands on practice on the day.
