As Christmas is almost here time for a little fun …

A few months ago when I decided I wanted to revamp the website I knew I wanted to reshoot the entire product range so that my website was clean and crisp and co-hesive.  The task of shooting over 500 products was quite a daunting one and one I knew I would never finish (or possibly even start) without assistance.

I put the call in to the lovely Fran from Lumin-essence Photography – Fran is one of the amazing ladies that has been instrumental in teaching me all I know about photography – she is part of the Eye Candy Photography Workshop team and I had the pleasure of spending 4 amazing days with her in Byron Bay in May this year.   Fran was so generous with her incredible knowledge, and importantly inspired me to look at photography from so many perspectives.

So in September this year Fran flew down from sunny Queensland to spend 4 days with me where we shot at least 1,000 photos to create most of the shots you see on the website.

Today I would love you to enjoy A Sweet Style Christmas created from a selection of the shots we took over those 4 days – I hope it makes you smile! Merry Christmas Everyone! (If this video doesn’t display immediately just refresh your screen and it will appear)

P.S The online store will reopen for processing of orders on Thursday 27th December.

We will also be taking a break in January from Monday 14th January until Wednesday 23rd January.

We only have two weeks to go with our photo-a-day challenge for 2012 so time for a recap of what I was up to in November.

I do have a few favourites from this month of photos  – day 11 – night and day 24 – a sound you heard – the laughter of Indi at the park.  Documenting our lives seems to be all that more important after the events in the US last week – memories are so precious. May all of our lives be filled with many special memories while celebrating the festive season!

How fantastic is this for a Christmas Cake!

The very clever Linda from Bubble and Sweet recently created this fabulous Lollipop and Candy Christmas Tree Cake.  She even has all the instructions on how to put it together here on her blog. Definitely a Christmas Day showstopper!

You can see more of Linda’s fantastic creations on Facebook here as well

While on the topic of Christmas I have reduced some of the Christmas items in the shop including the gorgeous Christmas Tree lollipops and tags.  Check them all out here.

Last store orders prior to Christmas will go out Thursday 20th December and we will resume sending orders out on Thursday 27th December for your January parties.  The store will then be closed so we can take a short family holiday from Monday 14th January until Wednesday 23rd January.

Have a great Monday everyone.

I was really excited with the arrival of the berry box into the store this week so I decided I needed something delicious and yummy to go in it for a Christmas Gift!

Dewi from Sweet Bloom Cakes made up these fabulous White and Gold Macarons that look ever so stylish all layered together.

I then printed the fantastic free printable tag that is available in the Tomkat Studio Gift Guide, made by the very clever Paige from Paiges of Style – the colours are just perfect for my gift!

You can find these large sized berry boxes in the store now (small ones coming soon!)

Yesterday I showed some more images from my Christmas Lunch Table and today I have some more images from the Working Mums Masterclass Workshop I was part of on the 1st December.

We had a fabulous day by the water in Sydney talking about all things Christmas.  Penny did an Oprah style interview with me where I got to present some recent images  of “My Christmas” – from the preparation and planning, to wrapping, food, styling and onto the end product.  It was a wonderful day out where I got to meet some ladies who I have met through the online world of blogging and facebooking.

I put together a small dessert table which consisted mostly of food supplied by the venue where the function was held.  I was able to talk them into letting Dewi from Sweet Bloom Cakes provide us with some of her delicious macarons which of course were a hit!

So here are some photos that are from both the presentation and a few shots of some of the food from the day.

My TreeOur beautiful Angel that sits on top of our tree – of course her name is Laura so we are know that “our Laura” is watching over us – my mother in law even embroidered her name on the skirt.Pretty presents for under the treeChristmas Day Flowers – I love dahlia’s and they always feature on my christmas table.Delicious food from the day included brulee’s in mini glass pots, gold dipped macarons, a white chocolate mouse cake (which I jazzed up with poms from Dunne by Style) and mini cheesecakes

Thanks to all the lovely girls that joined us on the day and to Penny from Working Mums Masterclass for asking me to be part of the presenting team – I look forward to seeing you all at the next one!
