Just over two weeks until Indi’s first birthday party so my head is filled with so many ideas – I keep finding gorgeous photos of lovely dessert buffets and and with each picture I head in another direction – I just need to stick to an idea and go with it – no changing the menu.
This time the table will be filled with more desserts as opposed to lollies as it is afternoon tea with lots more adults. I spied this lovely photo today over at My Sweet and Saucy – so beautiful – look at those macaroons and what a table!
I had a wonderful evening last night with all the girls at our private screening of Sex and the City 2. With all the mixed reviews I was not sure what to expect but so love going to a movie where I can sit back and lose myself and just dream.
Well the movie did not disappoint and I thought it was fantastic – yes in parts you certainly thought “ok hang a minute” but what is a movie for if not to step out of your world and into another. The fashion was amazing and the scenery spectacular but the one thing that I found absolutely incredible was Carrie and Big’s new apartment.
It certainly made me come home and want to redecorate. When I built my house I deliberately kept it very neutral – lots of white, simple, modern and streamlined. I am not one for clutter as I hate the distraction. After watching the movie however I realized I could be turned! No I could never have clutter but there were so many interesting features – lots of texture, great patterns and wonderful furniture – I am not sure I have ever been to a movie where I took such great interest in the decor!

Now it is time to make my home as interesting as this one – somehow my books would not manage to stay upright but give me 10 or so years and maybe I could revisit this idea!
So looking forward to this weekend as it is a Sex & The City Weekend for me.
A few of us from The Stillbirth Foundation Australia have organised a charity movie night to see the movie and I am looking forward to a girls night out (especially when it will also help raise funds for our wonderful foundation). My biggest dilemma – what to wear! If only I had Carrie’s wardrobe as I would just love to wear this little number.
I can’t quite believe my little Indi will be one in a few short weeks. Here she is just last week at 11 months. This past few weeks has seen her a bit out of sorts with her first bad cold – so not used to her being grumpy.
The past few days she is happy again but up to mischief! She has learnt to pull herself up on the furniture and today I found her climbing the stairs – the dangerous and tricky stage has begun but looking into those beautiful eyes makes it all so worth it!
