The end to another busy but exciting week and I have just received all the photos from Sienna’s Vintage Circus themed party we held here three weeks ago so here are some of my favourites – so lovely to see the kids with such wonderful smiles on their faces.
If you missed my original post with all the details you can find it here.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

As some of you may know if you have visited before our first daughter Laura was stillborn 7 and a half years ago. Through the wonderful support network the hospital offered me I was fortunate enough to meet some wonderful girls – together we had a vision to create a charity that was there for the purpose of raising money for research to prevent this from happening to others – there are lots of wonderful charities that offer support to bereaved families so we wanted to focus our efforts on funding research.
5 Years ago we launched the Stillbirth Foundation Australia and I am so proud to report that we are growing bigger and stronger every day – we are now approaching our 5th Birthday and it is time to celebrate with a Birthday Party (and you know how I love a party!).

If you are in Sydney or have friends in Sydney that may be interested in supporting this wonderful charity I would love for you to forward on the details. Please visit the website www.stillbirthfoundation.org.au for more information. Also if you are interested in donating any goods or services as part of our silent auction items please email me.
Here are the current stillbirth statistics that you may find interesting.

I have had lots of emails about my drinks dispenser that was on display in this post here.

Believe it or not this dispenser was from a local variety shop or as we call it the $2 shop (not sure why we still call it that is nothing appears to be $2!)
I have spoken with them this week to see if they have any more and unfortunately they don’t – if I come across any more I will be sure to post about it. The shop name is House to Home if you have one in your area.

It was Fathers Day here in Australia yesterday and our plans were to have a relaxing morning at home followed by meeting Mr A’s family at the park at 2.00pm so the kids could ride bikes and we could all enjoy afternoon tea.
Being from an Italian family it is however a little hard for Mr A’s mum and dad to believe that just afternoon tea would suffice so we agreed that nonna would cook us some pasta and join the five of us for lunch before we all headed to the park – so seven for lunch – simple.
Saturday came and the weather in Sydney was rainy and not that nice really – maybe the park was not looking that great even though the forecast was for it to fine up. We started the ring around and made the decision that instead of the park the venue for afternoon tea would be our place – the kids could still ride bikes down to the local park if they wanted but at least if the rain continued we were safe!
Saturday afternoon arrives and brother number one decides that maybe lunch is not a bad idea – add five – we are now on twelve for lunch.
Sunday morning arrives and it seems that Aunt and Uncle from the country also happen to be in town – add two! Brother number two decided that hey I might as well be there as well – add four. Ok then says brother number 4 we will be there as well – another four! Yes that is 22 in total! So from a casual play in the park it turned into lunch and afternoon tea for 22 – all I can say is thank heavens for an Italian mother-in-law who is used to this large family and can at the drop of the hat whip up lunch for this large family!
So that being said ….. what better opportunity for me to whip up a dessert table using just what I could find in the house that day! Here is the result.

Lemon Tart, Cupcakes, Friands and Chocolate Mocha Cookies were the highlights

Left over lollipops that didn’t match the colour scheme for Sienna’s party but were perfect for our Blue and Brown theme

How cute are marshmallows on a stick!

Ferrero Rocher! Yum

The cupcakes I had made to take to the park – looking oh so nice on my lovely cake stand available from Sharnel Dollar Designs.
I made up a few labels to display on my jars that were appropriate for the day.

Orange juice for the kids to fill into their lovely glass bottles.

So my impromptu dessert table was quite simple!
Funnily enough on Friday I joked with the family about whether they wanted me to colour co-ordinate our trip to the park!
