Mr A and I took a quick escape to Byron Bay last weekend – our last change for a little break before the madness of the silly season arrives!  I had my first ever visit to Byron Bay earlier in the year when I attended the photography retreat and I really fell in love with the place so I wanted to go back and discover more.  I followed along Louise from Table Tonic’s instagram journey a few weeks ago so I had all the best spots listed and ready to go!

We stayed at the amazing Rae’s on Watego and could not have been more spoilt!  It is in a beautiful location and the staff and facilities were incredible.  We took the opportunity to do a little exercise taking a few morning runs to the lighthouse, tripped to Bangalow for the delcious food festival, shopped in some great little boutiques and ate the most amazing food!  I think we were visited by more goannas than ever but hey they were friendly and only seem to have a taste for strawberry jam!

Here are some snaps from our few days away – including some of my picks for dinning and shopping.

Favourite places to shop:-
Sweet Pappillon
Wax Jambu in Bangalow
Spell
Island Luxe

Favourite Places to eat:-
Utopia in Bangalow
One One One Cafe in Byron
Rae’s
The Top Shop
Italian at the Pacific
Kinoko Sushi Bar

Today’s beautiful Monday Favourite cake comes for the insanely clever Leoni from Just Call Me Martha.

I asked Leoni to let me know which one of her cakes was her favourite and she came back saying that there was no way she could pick – it was like trying to pick your favourite child – she loves them all!

While I also find it so hard to pick favourites I decided on this gorgeous cake that Leoni created for her daughters florist party earlier in the year – not only is it stunning but it also fits with the spring theme I have happening with my cake posts of late.

If you would like to see more of Leoni’s gorgeous work visit her blog here or her facebook page here

Tessa from Down that Little Lane asked me if I would pick my favourite products that can be found on her gorgeous website – there is so much to chose from so the task was not an easy one but here goes with my top 8 picks from the Down That Little Lane online store!

Naturally it involves some pink, some jewellery, somewhere to relax while at the beach, cute outfits for my girls, a handbag as I do have a handbag fetish, a new desk which can double as a great dessert table and a sweet style cake stand.

All this plus 1,000’s of other products can be found on the Down that Little Lane online store here.
Don’t forget there is also still time to enter the fantastic Friday Giveaway from last week – you could win a great prize from DTLL and Sweet Style just by liking both stores on Facebook.
For more information go to my blog post here telling you all about it.
