I have spent the past few days at the Sydney Trade Fairs looking at lots of lovely new products to add to the store. They will be slowly added to the store over the coming weeks and months so be sure to keep up to date with all our news on facebook and via out newsletter.
Today’s Monday Favourite feature is from Leony from Ma’cake in Sydney. Such and fun and pretty novelty cake for a sweet 3 year old. I always love to know how our the fabulous cake artists start their businesses so my Monday Favourite post will now included some interesting facts about the very talented ladies I feature.
Leony found her passion for novelty cakes when her son was born. Preparing his first birthday party cake made her realise how much she loved doing cakes – the rest is history as she has now had her business for 4 years.
The most popular cake flavour that comes out of her kitchen is the Surabaya layer cake (it’s the indonesian specialty cake with lots and lots of egg yolk) with vanilla swiss meringue buttercream. Doesn’t it sound heavenly!
