If you have been following me on instagram lately you will see I have had a bit of thing for flowers!  I really do love beautiful blooms and capturing with my camera is one of my favourite things to do.  There’s no doubt that flowers are one of life’s simplest yet most beautiful pleasures, and there is literally no occasion that cannot be made just that little bit more special by a gorgeous bouquet of blooms.

Sydney-based florist The Flower Man truly understand the power that the perfect floral arrangement can have to transform someone’s day. It also just so happens that they’ve just updated their website with a gorgeous new design and colour scheme, which had a slightly old-school flower shop feel to it, with its pastel green and white stripes.

To celebrate their new site, they sent me a gorgeous bunch of white flowers and they are giving one lucky reader the chance to win a $100 gift voucher to spend on anything at all on their website.

  1. Hi Leanne, lovely photos as usual, you have really captured their beauty….I agree there is something special about flowers inside the house, even a single stem of something will make me smile…there are so many beautiful arrangement to choose from @ The Flower Man but I think I am drawn to the Australian native arrangements, especially at this time of year with heaters on inside the house they stand up to the winter elements beautifully like the true Aussies they are…so my pick “Wild flowers in glass vase” or “Wild flower posy” x

  2. Great post! Has to be the “Singapore Orchids in Ceramic Pot” for me. Love, love, love the exotic beauty of orchids – can never go past them!

  3. I need to add some colour in my life and get away from the winter blues so the colourful Spring Posey of Flowers will do just that! Counting down to spring…….

  4. Oh how can I go past the ‘Yellow Tulips in Glass Vase’ – stunning and you can’t help but feel bright and happy with those around!!

  5. I love the Elegance in Flowers – anything with lilies reminds me of when I had my three children. The smell literally takes me back to the hospital!

  6. Hi Leanne
I agree flowers are the simplest pleasure and I always try to have at least one vase of fresh flower’s in my home to add that little bit of happiness even if its as simple as a single stem.My favourite arrangement on the Flower Mans website would be the Singapore orchid in the pot as Singapore orchids just keep on giving that little bit if happiness for weeks.

  7. Nothing better than fresh flowers in the house. I don’t do it often enough. My favourite at The Flowerman is the Fancy Flowers Roses and Lillies- with or without the chocolates! I love lillies and its a bonus that they last for ages and roses are always just so beautiful.

  8. Hi Leanne,

I just adore the cool and elegant arrangement- white flowers are always so fresh and pure. I always loved the saying “if I were down to my last few dollars, I’d buy some bread and flowers. Bread may feed the body but flowers feed the soul”.

    🙂

  9. I absolutely adore the Singapore Orchids In Ceramic Pot as they remind me of the very first flower arrangement my husband picked out for me, plus they will add a lovely pop of colour to our lives during this rather gloomy Sydney weather period. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to win something so lovely and keep up the great work with your blog.

  10. They are all beautiful and your photography of the flowers is stunning!! I especially love the large bouquet of mixed tulips as i think tulips look stunning in a vase and brighten any room.

  11. Hi Leanne, I can’t go past the beautiful autumnal colours in the Autumn-Winter wreath arrangement which so perfectly captures the change of seasons, but then I do love the promise of warmer days with the Spring posy arrangements! So lovely.

  12. So many beautiful arrangements to choose from at The Flower Man, however the delicate posy of flowers in soft pastels is so very pretty and perfect for my adored baby girl. A posy for my Posie!

  13. It was a hard choice to choose just one arrangement, but I do love the *Pretty in Pink Roses* they are so delicate and perfect for any occasion.

  14. The Wild Flower Posy because it is like having a little piece of the ‘Outback’ in the house, beautiful colours and a story behind every flower.

  15. Wild posy. There’s nothing quite as enlivening as a native arrangement. There’s nothing artificial or forced about it.

  16. I love the beautiful flowers arrangements options on the FlowerMan website. I always love oriental lillies, as they are gorgeous, stunning & have beautiful smell. So, my first & top pick will be the oriental lillies in glass vase, pink. Second preference will be the beautiful pink tulips in glass vase. Pretty in pink for sure.

  17. Hi! I can’t go past the Cool and Elegant arrangement. A vase of beautiful all white flowers adds a freshness and sophistication to any room or event.

  18. The gerbera bouquet. My nan grew the most beautiful gerberas in her front yard, though any I’ve tried to grow over the years have been scatty and thin in comparison.

  19. Oriental Lilies in a Glass Vase – Pink are the flowers for me. Lilies have a beauty and graceful magic about them and I love pink.

  20. The Spring Arrangement in Ceramic vase
Simply stunning colors, which would shed some beautiful bright colors through any room during these cold winter months

  21. The tulip bouquet would have to be my favourite, they are such a dramatic flower and great to practice my photography on

  22. My favourite is definitely the Wild Posy – such inspiring colours and textures. I am always drawn to a variety of textures within a bunch of flowers as well as that touch if natural ‘wildness’.

  23. Oh Leanne,
Your photos are so beautiful. Flowers are such a simple pleasure, but I don’t treat myself and my home enough.
The white Orchid Arrangement is one of my favourites because it reminds me of a time in my life where everything was rather amazing. Life is still wonderful, but that past memory always makes my heart happy.
    Leah x
