As I mentioned here last week I have been doing some fantastic online courses – it is so exciting to be learning new things.  This week I would love to let you know about a fabulous online photography course by Sheye Rosemeyer.

You may remember I have mentioned Sheye on my blog here.  Sheye is a photographer who also has a great blog which is always inspiring and thought provoking – she has a natural way with words.  Her online course called Eye Candy Workshops has been just what I needed to be able to switch my camera from auto setting to manual.  I can’t believe that in a matter of four weeks I am now taking all of my photos on manual!  While I still have so much to learn (especially with that post processing part), I am now improving with my portraiture which I am thrilled with.

So a little history of my favorite professional photographs I have had taken in the past 15 months …

Remember these photos from just over a year ago – little Indi was just 5 weeks old and so tiny.  These gorgeous shots where taken by the very talented Chantelle from Forever Bliss Photography – I will treasure these special photos of my girls forever. I really do love the way Chantelle captures curled up little babies.

These next photos were taken this past July just after Indi turned one.  The photography studio is Morffew Photos – I really love their simple clean style and they captured some very cute moments.

And now I can show you some photos of mine taken in the past few weeks while practicing on the manual setting – I am yet to capture a great shot of all three together however these individual shots of my girls appear to be “my style” of photography – I really love up close and simple.

Miss Sienna
Miss Sofia
Little Miss Indi
Finally a few of Sheye’s lovely work – if you are keen to learn more about that camera pop over to Sheye’s website and see what she has to offer you.

On Sunday I had the pleasure of styling a Candy Table for my eldest daughter Sienna’s teacher.  The theme for the wedding was purple and white which was such a stunning combination.  The selection of candy in these colours is great so here is a look at how things turned out on what was a magical day for the bride and groom as well as her beautiful kindy class and the proud mums and dads that watched on.

The amazing array of candy included Gumballs, Cool Mints, Jelly Belly, Cloud Marshmallows, Bon Petite, Lollipops, Milk Bottles, Heart Shaped Chocolates, White Chocolate covered Rasperries, Mini Chocolate Bars and Acid Fruit Drops.
The table also included little bags for each of the guests to use to take their sweets home in as well as a wishing jar for friends and family to pop a note to the bride and groom in.
Large Round Balloons are from Love to Celebrate

And a few of the stunning bride and groom with the magical backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on a picture perfect afternoon
The very excited kids from Anna’s class lined the aisle as she walked in and as the bride and groom left they threw petals from their little white baskets – so special!
Followed of course by a petal fight!
It was such an honor to be part of Anna and Chris’ special day.
Congratulations to the beautiful couple – here is to a long and happy life together.

I was so excited to receive in the post this week some beautiful Ribbon Wands by Pinwheels and Pearls in Brisbane, Australia.
Kate Chapman is the lovely lady behind these gorgeous products that she beautiful handcrafts herself.  A Ribbon Wand is a 2m colourful ribbon on a stick perfect for twirling princesses.
They would be a perfect stocking filler and are available in many beautiful colours and can be custom designed with an exclusive patterned wand base.
My girls have had the most fabulous time twirling them around the backyard and our house and I am sure that Sienna is a budding rhythmic gymnast – she has not put them down since we received them.
If you would like to find out more information head on over to Kates facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pinwheelsandpearls

I am styling a candy table this weekend for my Sienna’s teacher’s wedding.  It has been so exciting to be involved in creating something special for someone who play a huge role in our household on a daily basis.  All we have talked about for weeks is Miss Ryan’s wedding.  She even has given the 20 kids from her class a little role to play in the wedding ceremony and they are all so excited.
I can’t wait to share more photos with you next week so today I leave you with the colour purple – the colour theme for this weekend’s wedding.
Enjoy your weekend everyone and thank you for this weeks lovely comments.

In the past month I have undertaken two pretty incredible online courses – the first on Blogging and the other on photography.
Today I would like to talk a little on the first wonderful course called Blogging Your Way.  The course is run by Holly Becker who is the author of the great blog Decor8

Not only is Holly a wealth of knowledge but she is encouraging, positive and giving.
She helps you to take a close look at why you blog and how you can become a better blogger with thought provoking questions and what seems to be hundreds of tips to make a blog a better place to visit.
Holly’s co-teacher in this course is the very talented Leslie Shewring who writes the blog A Creative Mint.  Leslie is a self taught photographer and stylist whose wonderful blog has the most gorgeous eye candy.

The combination of these two great talents have made for the most incredible course that really has helped me in both the blog world and the real world.
I must admit I have a fascination with Styling – it is something I have long desired to do but I have always wondered exactly how does one become a Stylist.  There is no formal training and a personal individual style is just that – individual.  A style can be displayed through both words or picutres and Holly and Leslie have both demonstrated throughout this course how to be an individual.
So it is with all these wonderful things in mind that I move forward realizing that my blog is my individual style on things – I hope to show you over the coming months many fun projects I am working on that are my attempts at Styling and being an individual.
If you are looking for a fabulous online course to participate in I would encourage you to pop over to Decor8 and find out more details – it may just be the lift you are looking for at this point in your blogging life.
